The Word Made Flesh

During my time of prayer and meditation this week, God began to impress upon me the importance of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the central focus of our Faith! He is center stage for the believer! He is our precious Lord and our Reigning King! He is Jesus the Anointed Messiah! He is the Lamb of God! He is described by the prophets of old as the “Lily of the Valley”, “the Rose of Sharon, and the Bright and Morning Star! (I capitalize those words because to me they are titles of our Lord.) So, with that I want to take just a moment and draw your attention to the deeper mysteries of the “Man in Glory” Jesus our Messiah!

The Gospel of John gives us a very powerful concept and perception about the Lord Jesus Christ that is often missed in today’s shallow Christian experience. This powerful revelation is revealed to us right at the starting verses of the Gospel of John. The pages of John’s Gospel reveal to us the most powerful revelation ever known to mankind. What is it you may ask? Very simply “The Word was Made Flesh”! “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,” John 1:14. There it is, the most powerful revelation in the entire Bible from cover to cover!

You may find yourself asking the question, what does the word made flesh mean? Or what even is the “Word” of God anyway? Well, I’m very glad you asked! The “Word” of God is quite simply the “Will of God. I will reveal to you an even deeper mystery regarding the Word of God before I continue to teach you this very powerful concept. We need to take a look at the “two immutable things” spoken of in the Book of Hebrews. “Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:” Hebrews 6:17,18 Now this gets a little deep, because we now have to touch on the “Order of Melchisedek”. However, I will leave that for another time lest we get so deep into this that I must write a book.

Jesus Christ the Anointed One, was essentially the manifest Will/Testament of the invisible God! We have present with us today by the power of the Holy Spirit the very presence of Jesus Christ who is the manifested God-Head to the world! I’m going to make a bold statement here that will actually challenge some doctrinal statements set forth by various churches: Jesus is the only real manifestation of God! I’ll repeat that again: Jesus is the ONLY real manifestation of God! The Holy Spirit is NOT a manifestation of God! God the Father is NOT a manifestation of God! The burning bush to Moses is NOT a manifestation of God in totality! The only total manifestation of God is Jesus Christ! Jesus is God! The fulness of the God-Head is in Him bodily! Jesus is the FLESH of God! (Colossians 2:9)

At this point, you may be wondering how does this work with the God-Head? It’s very simple, Jesus is the sum total manifestation of the God-Head in one body! Jesus Christ is the one true God of Israel “manifested”! God is Jesus! The flesh of Jesus is the manifested testament of God the Father revealed to the world that He created! This manifested Testament is the Word! The Word of God is His Testament! Jesus is that Word!

We can clearly see this beautiful revelation revealed when Phillip asks Jesus in John 14:8 “Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.” And notice the response Jesus gives him: “Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?” Well, there goes that three co-equal persons stuff out the door! Jesus said I am the Father in the Son! I am the Testament of the New Covenant! I am the Bread of Life! I am the First and the Last! I Am God! God so desired to deliver His people that He put on flesh and swore an oath by His own immutability of His counsel! Yes, God confirmed Himself in the flesh! The Spirit and Flesh meet to confirm the covenant of God and seal the will of God towards the children of promise for evermore!

You may be wandering at this point, what do I do with such deep revelation about Jesus Christ? The answer is simple! You follow Him! Now you have a very real and clear understanding of who your master really is! Now you can pray with more clarity and power! Now you can move out into the power of God and manifest the gifts of the Spirit! Now you can clearly see how religion manipulates people and distorts the Word of God to keep people from His presence! Now you can worship Him in Spirit and in truth! God Bless you! I love you!
